Yesterday’s deadly school shooting in Florida has shaken the local community and made many people concerned for the well-being of students. It’s natural for parents to wonder about their own children’s coping skills and whether they need additional support. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) created this helpful infographic featuring Mental Health Facts about Children and Teens, along with tips for parents.
To further support our customers in the wake of the event, BHS has launched a special NEWS ALERT on the proprietary BHS Resource Library. This special section will connect BHS customers to details related to the shooting as well as provide additional information to share with employees, including tips for talking to children about traumatic events and coping with tragedy. Our trained BHS Care Coordinators are also standing by to provide confidential, one-on-one support for employees and their household members.
